What is Convergence?

Government initiatives, outcomes-based payment models, and provider consolidation have created a very deep and complicated challenge with explosive opportunities for innovation, collaboration and leadership. The next evolution in the healthcare sector is Convergence – the coming together of providers and payers to provide a better health service for the populations they serve.

Convergence 2017 is a two-day conference bringing together senior executives from across the healthcare sector to discuss and learn from one another the latest trends in provider-payer convergence strategies and their successful execution. Keynote luminaries will present the challenges they have faced and successes achieved on the path to value-based care and the quadruple aim, focusing on the opportunities for all stakeholders to prosper as their industry roles converge.

Chilmark Research has been watching this evolution slowly develop over the past few years, gaining progressively more traction in the past 12 months. From this research, we have identified and invited some of the leading organizations who are at the forefront of convergence models to present their experiences. This conference will provide the guidance needed for any healthcare organization to successfully pursue their strategic convergence initiative.

Learning Objectives

Convergence 2017 is an opportunity to interact with the leading organizations in the U.S. today that are on the path to provider-payer convergence. You will be at the forefront of the discussions and key learnings that will shape the healthcare industry for years to come. This is a must attend event for all forward-thinking organizations.

Some of the key topics to be addressed:

  • Pursuing a convergence strategy – where to start, what to consider, where is the “low-hanging fruit” that leads to success.
  • If data is the foundation to successful convergence, what are the key governance factors to consider?
  • How do self-insured employers perceive convergence, what attributes are most critical?
  • What are today’s points of friction between providers and payers that hinder progress towards a converged model – how can they be overcome?
  • How are current technology gaps impeding effective convergence strategies and what are the strategies to close these gaps?
  • Pursuing a path towards convergence will create bountiful opportunities for providers, payers and vendors – how best to capitalize upon them?
